Baseline

Tail: The tail of the ski.
Tip: The nose or front of the ski.
Camber: Known as positive camber, it describes the natural curve of a ski without any pressure applied. The camber is a crucial factor when choosing the right ski.
Rocker: Referred to as negative camber. We use tip and tail rocker, which shortens the effective edge length. This makes the ski more agile and easier to maneuver, making it more forgiving of mistakes. The rocker also improves float in soft snow, while the existing camber in the middle ensures good control.
Materials
We place great importance on sustainability and ensure that every step—from material selection to packaging—respects both people and the environment. Our Radical models are handmade, with local wood cores and short transportation distances.
Thanks to the carbon-Kevlar sandwich construction, our boards offer outstanding riding performance and durability, backed by a five-year warranty on flex and camber.
The high-molecular graphite racing base ensures excellent glide and maneuverability. All models are handmade with great attention to detail. No effort is too great for us to produce the best snowboards and skis.

Ich kam nun entlich dazu den Race Carver 4.0 auszuprobieren.
Ende November war ich kurz auf hartem und auch sulzigem Schnee und nun dieses Wochenende in Saas Fee auf perfekt griffigem Schnee unterwegs.
Der Race Carver 4.0 mit der Rennplatte liefert wirklich genau das, was wir auch besprochen haben beim Auswählen des Skis.
Beim Carven ist er wie auf Schienen und geht bei weiten offenen Schwüngen, wie auch bei kürzeren Radien mit mehr Kantwinkel perfekt.
Unebenheiten auf der Piste und auch hohe Geschwindigkeiten fühlen sich jederzeit sicher und beherrscht an.
Dass der Race Carver carven kann, ist ja eigentlich klar. Spannend war für mich das Verhalten bei Kurzschwüngen und Neuschneehügel oder harten Pisten. Also wenn es etwas anspruchsvoller wird.
Die Schwungeinleitung über die Skispitzen ist hervorragend und trotzdem nie zu aggressiv.
Wenn man dann die Mitte des Skies schön trifft, wird man mit einem Rebound belohnt, sodass man gleich in die nächste Kuve “fliegt”.
Ich finde die Rennplatte und der Ski passen da genial zusammen.
Alles in allem würde ich den Ski als sehr schneller Ski der, wenn er technisch sauber gefahren wird, ein gransioses Fahrverhalten aufweist.
Aber auch am Nachmittag, mit Schnee auf der Piste und müden Beinen macht der Ski spass und funktioniert super.
Das was wir beim Verkaufsgespräch im Oktober besprochen haben ist also erfüllt oder eher übertroffen. Ich war überrascht was der Ski alles meistern kann.
Das einzige was meine anderen, härteren Ski mit Radius 17m besser können, ist der Geradeauslauf -also Gleiten- bei hohen Geschwindigkeiten.
Ich freue mich schon den Ski weiter kennenzulernen und viele schöne Skitage zu erleben.

Am Wochenende durfte ich den Radical Race Carver Ski testen und es war eine komplett neue Experience. Der Ski ist extrem leicht, es fühlt sich so an, als hätte man nichts an den Beinen. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich die enorme Beschleunigung, die wirklich unfassbar ist.
Anfangs dachte ich, dass der Ski aufgrund seines geringen Gewichts bei hohem Tempo zu flattern beginnen könnte. Dies war jedoch nicht der Fall. Durch die komplette Carbon-Konstruktion ist der Ski sehr steif und bleibt auch bei hohen Geschwindigkeiten absolut stabil.
Ein absoluter Top-Ski!
