A pioneering figure in the European snowboarding scene, who significantly shaped the development of high-performance boards over four decades. Since 1984 at Radical.

Mark Farner was born in Zurich in 1960.
He developed a passion for skateboarding at an early age.
It was during his anthropology studies in Mexico, which he began in 1980, that he first came into contact with surfing.
This experience had a lasting impact on him and laid the foundation for his later vision: to transfer the feeling of surfing to the snow.

In 1981, he had his first experience with snowboarding, at that time still on so-called “skiboards”.
These experiences inspired him to dream of developing a snowboard that would allow him to surf on snow.
