Niki Huwyler, born in 1974, is a cheerful person. He is not afraid to say what he thinks. He is always open and honest. When he is fascinated by an idea, he can sweep those around him along with his powers of persuasion. Niki acquired his didactic knowledge as an expert at the SSBS (Swiss Snow Sports Professional and School Association).
He is a team rider for Radical Sports and Scott (mountain sports division) and offers avalanche transceiver and splitboard tours. He is also active in mountain rescue in the Pizol section. In addition to offering tours, his strengths lie in the area of design.
He has been offering his services as a web developer and consultant since 2001, with programming skills in PHP, CSS and HTML. Niki Huwyler has been a WordPress trainer, Divi supporter and developer since 2011. He now also works as a mediamatics expert for the Department of Education of the Cantons of Zurich, Graubünden and Aargau. His specialties are accessible websites with Divi and photography.
He has been snowboarding since 1988 – back then with a self-made snowboard with steel edges from skis and bindings made from leather straps on an old skateboard. In 1995 he passed the SSBS instructor exam. The next year, the first boards arrived thanks to a sponsorship agreement with Radical. By competing in various freestyle competitions, he turned his snowboarding hobby into a profession. Niki became coach of the junior freestyle team and international team rider for Killer Loop. In 2000, he graduated as an SSBS expert and became head of the freestyle section of the SSBS. Since 2004 he has been self-employed as an EFZ snow sports instructor with a RiskG permit.
