Baseline

Tail: The tail of the snowboard.
Tip: The nose or front of the board.
Camber: Referred to as positive camber, it describes the natural curvature of a snowboard or ski when not under load. Camber is a key factor when choosing the right ski or snowboard.
Rocker: Referred to as negative camber. We use tip and tail rocker, which shortens the effective edge length. This makes the snowboard/splitboard more agile and easier to maneuver, making it more forgiving. The rocker also improves float in soft snow, while the existing camber in the middle ensures good control.

Das diesjährige One of Ten Board (2019/2020) ist einfach genial. Lange musste ich warten auf ein Board mit einem derart grossen Einsatzbereich. Sei es auf harten Pisten carvend, powderns im frischen Tiefschnee oder im Banked Slalom. Das Board ist hart genug für meine 95 kg und dennoch verspielt, optisch durch die spezielle Form sogar ein Hingucker für Travis Rice: „Your Board looks fast, man!“
Hätte nicht gedacht, dass ich jemals ein einziges Board für so ziemlich alles fahren kann – ausser zum spliten.

Anmerkung Radical: Bewertung One of Ten aus dem Jahr 2018
Servus Zusammen,
ich bin begeistert von der Varianz des Bretts, lange schnelle Turns, hohes Tempo, enge Turns – Hochentlastung, Tiefentlastung , Push and Pull, Lay Down aber auch entspannt den vollen Ziehweg runter carven, Buckelpiste und mal einen Tiefschneehang zwischen durch. Ich habe im Hardboot/Carving-Bereich einige Bretter durchprobiert, aber noch keines mit diesem breiten Einsatzspektrum gefunden. Es passt perfekt zu mir, da ich nicht nur ein, zwei Breite Pisten runterfahren will, sondern möglichst das ganze Skigebiet abfahre.
Das One Of Ten habe ich die ganze Saison 2018/2019 gefahren und zwischen dem und meinem Double XX gewechselt. Je nach Wetter und Laune, ob ich mit Skifahrern oder Snowboarden unterwegs bin oder dem Tagesplan und der persönlichen “Fitness”. Das One Of Ten ist nach meiner Erfahrung etwas kräftezehrender zu fahren als das Double XX.
