This lightweight, robust board combines technical sophistication with a timeless design made of carbon and wood. Whether steep couloirs, fast tree runs or wide powder sprays – the Scout splitboard masters any terrain with ease. The unique spoon nose provides excellent buoyancy and first-class downhill performance, even in difficult snow conditions. It prevents the crossbars from digging in, so you can concentrate fully on riding. With its directional, slightly tapered shape and setback, the board offers impressive floatation in deep snow and high manoeuvrability, especially in narrow gullies and steep slopes. The traditional camber guarantees excellent edge grip and stability when climbing.
The innovative centre clips in the middle of the board make the difference to a solid board almost imperceptible. The lightweight wooden core, combined with carbon and Kevlar layers, gives the Scout exceptional lightness, robustness and durability. The ultra-fast, extra-hard racing base takes this board's performance to a whole new level, while pre-drilled skin holes make putting on and taking off the skins much easier.
Difference to the Rider Splitboard 4.0: With its long tail, the Rider Splitboard ensures precise control and stability at high speeds, while the Scout Splitboard with its short tail and fish shape offers a playful, surf-like riding experience and maximum manoeuvrability.

Baseline
Tail: The tail of the snowboard. Tip: The nose or front of the board. Camber: Positive camber describes the natural curvature of a snowboard or ski without loading. Camber is a decisive factor when choosing the right ski or snowboard.

Rocker: Referred to as negative camber. We use tip and tail rocker, which shortens the effective edge length. This makes the snowboard/splitboard more agile and easier to maneuver, making it more forgiving of mistakes. The rocker also improves float in soft snow, while the existing camber in the middle ensures good control.
Materials
We place great importance on sustainability and ensure that every step—from material selection to packaging—respects both people and the environment. Our Radical models are handmade, with local wood cores and short transportation distances.
Thanks to the carbon-Kevlar sandwich construction, our boards offer outstanding riding performance and durability, backed by a five-year warranty on flex and camber.
The high-molecular graphite racing base ensures excellent glide and maneuverability. All models are handmade with great attention to detail. No effort is too great for us to produce the best snowboards and skis.

Für mich ist das Scout ein absolutes SPITZENPRODUKT im Bereich Splitboards
Im Backcountry möchte ich keinen Kompromiss machen mit meiner Sicherheit/Qualität und Fahrspass. Das Scout garantiert mir genau diese Eigenschaften.
Die Nose mit dem innovativen Shape gibt genügend Updrift im Powder. Die hohe Qualität in der Ausführung aller Details/Funktionsteile am Board geben mir grösstmögliche Sicherheit wenn ich im Backcountry auf Verlässlichkeit angewiesen bin. Beim Touren geben mir die leichte Konstruktion Möglichkeit für viele Höhenmeter.
Ich kann das Scout für jeden empfehlen, der ein Board sucht das sich für viele Jahre bewährt, mit seinen absolut TOP Qualitäten im Vergleich zu ähnlichen Produkten auf dem Markt.

The Scout splitboard is simply brilliant, to put it briefly. The easy handling for ascents with the pre-made skin mounting holes and the stable attachment points/hooks for quick assembly at the summit are just a few of the many thoughtful details. Thanks to the sturdy attachment points, you don’t even feel like you’re riding a board that is split in the middle. Even on the slopes, the board is fun to ride, which pleasantly surprised me. The curved shovels at the nose provide noticeably better buoyancy when descending in deep snow, and the lightweight design allows for playful maneuverability. Overall, it’s yet another masterpiece in development and craftsmanship, beautifully designed and very well made, making it a joy to ride. I don’t want to miss it anymore 🙂

Ich wollte ein Brett für meine Ansprüche.
Als Teamfahrer bei Radical, Dipl. Schneesportlehrer und Splitboardguide habe ich zusammen mit Radical das neue Splitboard Entwickelt.
Ich fahre seit 1989 Snowboard und gehe seit 2009 hauptsächlich Touren.
Anfangs bin ich mit Schneeschuhen unterwegs gewesen, im 2011 stieg ich um auf Splitboard. Das erste Radical Splitboard war das Lion. Ein breiter Fisch mit viel Pintail. Entstanden als normales Freerideboard, danach als Splitboard Version. Ich fuhr die 157cm Version. Breit, klein und somit wendig für meine Alpinen Touren.
Es wurde somit Zeit für eine neue Version. Die neue Version soll sich speziell im alpinen, anspruchsvollen Gelände wohlfühlen.
Ich wollte ein breiteres Brett mit wenig Taillierung. Die Breite wegen dem Auftrieb und somit die Möglichkeit ein kürzeres Brett zu Fahren, was drehfreudiger ist. Das ist gerade bei steilen Rinnen wichtig. Die Taillierung von 10m macht das Brett schnell in der Traverse. Es ist auch dank der Spoon-Nose unglaublich wendig, gerade in schwierigen Passagen. Sie verstärkt den Auftrieb und die Ablenkung. Kein Einfressen mehr der Nose bei Traversen oder beim Carven. Ein Brett für meine Ansprüche. Ich und das Radical Team sind sehr zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis.
